Rubber Pride Flag
Rubber Pride Flag & Rubber Flag Meaning
There are lots of flags to represent a range of kinks which include LGBTI+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex +) people but also include cisgender heterosexuals.
Of these, the Rubber Pride Flag is one of the most popular and well established, dating from 1994. It also symbolises latex fetish.
The black represents ‘our lust for the look and feel for shiny black rubber’. The red is a ‘blood passion for rubber and rubbermen’. Meanwhile yellow represents the ‘drive for intense rubber play and fantasies. Finally the chevron symbolises kinkiness.

What Does It Mean to Be Part of the Rubber Community?
The rubber community is a subculture within the BDSM and kink worlds, often characterized by the use of rubber or latex clothing, gear, and accessories. Members of the rubber community may find sexual or emotional expression through wearing rubber or latex materials, which can create a sense of identity, eroticism, and sometimes power dynamics. The community embraces different forms of self-expression, often focusing on aesthetics, tactile sensations, and the unique experiences these materials offer. Rubber can also be a symbol of fetishism, and participants may incorporate it into various role-playing or kink activities. Like all kink communities, the rubber subculture values consent, communication, and mutual respect.
