New Queer Comedy Series Settle Down Premieres on Valentine’s Day
A Heartfelt and Hilarious Dive into the Complexities of Queer Love and Modern Relationships.

LGBTI+ representation takes center stage this Valentine’s Day with the premiere of SETTLE DOWN, a fresh and hilarious six-episode queer comedy series. Created by Canadian Screen Award nominee Alexander Nunez (Moonshine) and produced by Charlie David (Avocado Toast, Dating Unlocked) under Border2Border Entertainment, the series debuts on OUTtv and the OUTtv channels on Prime Video and AppleTV+ on February 14, 2025.
At the heart of SETTLE DOWN is Mason (played by Nunez), a celebrated matchmaker and podcast host who expertly guides others in love yet struggles to salvage his own crumbling marriage to Jarod (Leighton Alexander Williams). As Mason juggles demanding clients, podcast fame, and his own relationship anxieties, his journey through the hilariously chaotic world of queer love reveals that even the “experts” don’t have all the answers.
The series boldly tackles themes of anxiety, attachment styles, and the challenges of modern relationships, blending humor and heart with relatable, poignant storytelling. Mason’s story is enriched by his close-knit group of friends—Georgia (Tymika Tafari), Devon (Nadine Bhabha), and Ben (Izad Etemadi)—whose antics and advice bring added depth and comic relief.
“I created Settle Down to help people feel seen in the messy, funny, and complicated realities of relationships,” says Nunez. “I hope viewers laugh, reflect, and connect with these characters and their stories.”
Directed by Sam Coyle, with stunning cinematography by Cam Roden and a talented team of creatives, SETTLE DOWN offers an authentic and celebratory portrayal of LGBTI+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex +) lives and love.
Tune in this Valentine’s Day for a comedy series that proves love is rarely perfect—but always worth the ride.
